Latest Event Update(March 26, 2020)

The health and well-being of athletes, coaches, and their families is always the AAU’s top priority.   Along with the rest of the world, we have continued to closely monitor the developing COVID-19 (“Coronavirus”) situation.

After careful consideration, and in order to provide all teams the opportunity to compete for a national championship, the AAU Volleyball National Committee has decided to move the AAU Girls’ 18U Junior National Volleyball Championships from Memorial Day Weekend to June in conjunction with the AAU Junior National Volleyball Championships.   This is a decision that the AAU did not make lightly but one we strongly feel is in the best interest of all teams, their athletes, parents, and coaches as it gives all teams more time to make arrangements to attend nationals.

18 Open, 18 Premier, 18 Club, and 18 Classic divisions will now compete on June 25th – 28th, 2020 at the ESPN Wide World of Sports and the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, FL.

Please email volleyball@aausports.org if your team would like to compete on June 25th – 28th, 2020 in Orlando, FL or if you would like to cancel your team entry and receive a refund.  We understand that you will need to discuss this decision with your team, coaches, and parents.  Please contact us via email as soon as possible (no later than April 30th, 2020) to let us know which route you decide to take.

If you have already made hotel reservations through our block, there is no need to cancel those reservations.  Our hotel partner will be contacting you directly to change or cancel those reservation dates, depending on your team’s decision.
These are unprecedented times that have called for unprecedented measures.   We will continue to consult with local officials and health experts to ensure that the safety of AAU athletes, coaches, and their families is never compromised.

Since 1888, the AAU has been the industry leader in the amateur sports marketplace. Moving forward, we remain committed to providing the very best athletic opportunities to all who play AAU sports and will continue to provide updates as additional information becomes available. Thank you for your continued participation in AAU.
