Early Offer Process

We extend early (pre-tryout) offers only to top-tier athletes who have demonstrated both exceptional talent and a genuine interest in playing for Academy.

1. Legitimacy:  We are proud to be the ONLY club in our area that is fully honest and transparent about the early offer process. Much like college early admission, it is entirely legal to extend early offers—and in fact, most clubs in our area do so, though they may present it in different ways, such as saying, “We have a spot for you on our team; you don’t need to try out elsewhere.” An early offer can also include suggesting or implying that a player will be placed on a certain team before regular tryouts take place.

While we respect the right of other clubs to operate their businesses legally and independently, we believe that all clubs should strive to be truthful and transparent in how they handle early offers. Few things are more damaging than hypocrisy, especially when it undermines trust within the volleyball community.

2Fairness: Early offers are extended only for our top teams and are based on a player’s talent, skills, genuine interest, and fit for the team’s needs. This opportunity is open to all players, whether they have previously played for us or not. We believe it is fair and important that everyone has an equal opportunity to earn an offer by showing their abilities in our gym.

3. Pressure-Free: Early offers are extended only to highly qualified players who have clearly expressed a genuine desire to play for Academy. This friendly and transparent process helps reduce stress, save families time and money, and streamline the tryout experience for everyone. It’s important to note that our top teams are never finalized before tryouts. There are always plenty of opportunities for players who prefer to keep their options open and attend regular tryouts.

4. Acceptance:  If you accept our early offer—whether verbally, by text, or by email—it is considered a binding commitment. You are still expected to attend Academy tryouts, but you should NOT attend tryouts with other clubs. If you choose to decline the early offer, you are still welcome to attend our regular tryouts and will have the opportunity to earn a spot on the team based on your performance.

5. Payment: Just like with regular tryouts, the first payment (see Team Guides for the exact amount) is due within 24 hours of accepting the offer.

6Commitment:  We expect parents—not minor student-athletes—to be the responsible decision-makers when it comes to commitments. Early offers are treated with the same level of seriousness and respect as regular tryout offers, and we expect families to honor these commitments just as we do.

7Interest:  If you are genuinely interested in this process, we encourage you to contact us: [email protected]
