Carolina Juniors Volleyball and Sports Connection are excited to have you participate in our CJV Power Event on February 8, 2020 at our CJV Volleyball Center in Charlotte, NC. We have also included some of the basics below.

LOCATION: Granite Street Address: 10930 Granite Street, Charlotte, NC 28273

GRANITE STREET PARKING: Parking is limited in our main parking lot. We have permission to park in various parking lots near Sports Connection - Granite Street. One block past our facility are many warehouses with lots of vacant parking spots on the weekends. There is also a vacant road across the street that has room for lots of parking. Granite Street is a curbed city street and parking is usually allowed along the street as long as you park in the direction that follows traffic. Please do not park in the grass or medians and be respectful of our, and our neighbors' properties by not leaving trash on the ground. There will NOT BE a parking fee for this tournament. See PDF diagram for parking guide on our website.

CHECK-IN: Doors will open at 8:00 AM. Play begins at 9:00 AM.

ADMISSION FEE: $6/day admission fee per person 12 AND older. (There is no charge for coaches and players) Please enter through the main front door to pay and obtain your wristband.

SPECTATORS: We are excited to let you know Sports Connection / CJV recently installed State of the Art Omni Sports Tarkett Shock Absorption floors at our Granite Street facility. If you want to view the games from the "sideline" (versus the "end line"), we will allow spectators to BRING in camping / folding chairs to be placed on the center courts for viewing. Please make sure your chairs have rubber / plastic feet bottoms and they are free of any sharp objects that could damage the floors. We do not allow food and beverages on the new courts. We do have many bleachers located outside the court area where spectators can view from and have drinks and food if they choose not to bring a chair or stand on the sidelines.

FOOD & TABLES: Outside Food "Storage" (Coolers, Picnic Baskets, Boxes Of Food, etc) and Food Tables are NOT ALLOWED to be brought inside the buildings. These items can be stored and setup Outside the buildings in the back and on all sides of the buildings. We WILL ALLOW food and drinks to be CONSUMED inside, but no "camping" and "storage" and no tables. NO FOOD or DRINKS on the court areas, except bottle water. We will have a number of picnic tables for all teams to share and use for eating. Please do not use the community picnic and Cafe tables for "camping" and "spectating". There will be food trucks on premises for a portion of the day.

FOOD: We will have bottle drinks, candy and snacks for sale at our front counter inside the building. Also on our website is a list of other places you can eat nearby. There will be Food Trucks at our Granite Street facility.

TEAMS & POOLS: The official pools and matches have been posted on our website under the "Tournaments in Charlotte" link. You can also access them by clicking HERE. There will be no matches played outside of pool play. This Power Event is meant to be a friendly tournament between competitive teams. The match format will be best 2/3. 

COACHES MEETING: There will be a coaches meeting at 8:30 AM in the Party Room at the far end of the building. All coaches must check in at the tournament table upon arrival. 

VOLLEYBALLS: Each team is responsible for providing their own warm up volleyballs. Game balls will be provided.

TRAINER & ICE: There will not be an official trainer on site for this tournament. Ice is available for injuries only.

OTHER: If you notice anything that needs our attention such as bathrooms, spills, trash cans, etc, please let the staff at the front counter know.
