MAPL - Round 2

About a month prior, Academy participated in MAPL Hampton where our teams were tested amongst tough competitors across the east coast and throughout different age groups. It was the same set up this time, the difference? We got to play at home. MAPL Raleigh, is held at the Raleigh Convention Center for the Black and Blue divisions and Triangle for the Red division.
Another great perk of this location, some of our Crystal teams were able to participate! The club as a whole had a great weekend, playing come local competition and facing others from outside our area. Each team played a minimum of 4 games on the first day with the club as a whole going 20-15. 13 and 14 Diamond were undefeated going in to day 2. As teams battled throughout the second day, most teams finished higher than where they came in. While the weekend was long and the matches were tough, coaches and players both appreciated the challenge as they head in to the qualifier season. The first being Sunshine down in Orlando, Florida over the March 15-17 weekend.
